William Geren of Georgetown announces the engagement of his daughter, Rachel Alexandria, to Douglas Burdette Wood of Fort Worth, Texas. The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Nancy Carlisle Geren.
The couple will exchange wedding vows on May 6 in Gatlinburg.
Miss Geren is the granddaughter of Nancy Carlisle of Cleveland and John and Brunetta Geren of Georgetown. She is the sister of Michelle Geren of Georgetown.
The future bridegroom is the father of Trevor Douglas Wood. He is the son of Ron and Teresa Deak of Dayton, Ohio. He is the brother of Rachel Brown of Dayton and Chella Wood of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Miss Geren graduated from East Ridge High School and Virginia College in Chattanooga. She is employed by Goodman Creations of Cleveland.
Mr. Wood is a graduate of Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed by Fauneria Inc. in Fort World. He was also a U.S. Marine.
After their wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Mr. and Mrs. Wood will reside in Fort Worth.
