George Murray Clark


George Murray “Pete” Clark Jr., 82, of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2018. 

He was born on April 28, 1935, to the late George Clark Sr. and Charlotte Conklin Clark. 

"Pete" was an insurance agent by trade and worked in that field for many years.  He moved to Cleveland in 2001 and has lived in this area since then.  "Pete" was an avid sailor and member of a sailing club.  He also loved flying model airplanes and was a member of the Jaycees of Chester, Pa.  In Cleveland, "Pete" was a member of Restoration Fellowship Church, and he worked at the Caring Place. 

"Pete" leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 58 years, Sandra Wootten Clark; two daughters, Holly Jeanne Krauss (Robert) and Wendy Holcombe (Tommy); sister, Caren C. Vestal; and grandchildren: Hannah Marie Krauss, Leisl Rose Krauss, Peter Isaiah Krauss, and Jessica Ashley Holcombe. 

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road N.W., Cleveland, TN 37311. 

A Celebration of Life service will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. with Pastor James Cossey officiating.  The family will hold a private interment at Tasso United Methodist Cemetery.
