Gaynell Loma Parker, 92, a resident of Delano, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at a local hospital.
She was born to Mennin and Gertrude Burris on Sept 18, 1925.
She had a love for gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Parker; son, Mark Parker; parents, Mennin and Gertrude Burris; and siblings, Tommy Burris, Stella Collins.
She is survived by her daughter, Pat (Johnny) Owens; grandchildren, Heath (Virginia) Owens and Whitney (Jessica) Owens; great grandson, David Elias Owens; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Peggy and Sabrina at Eagle Home Care for taking such great care of Gaynell.
The family will receive friends today, April 15, 2018, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home, Cleveland Chapel.
There will be a Celebration of Life service held at 5:30 p.m. in the chapel.
The burial will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Monday, April 16, 2018, at 11 a.m.
