Freeda Griffith Hysinger, 84, departed this life on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020, at Tennova Healthcare in Cleveland.
Born on Sept. 11, 1936, to the late Clyde and Ada Griffith, she was a native and lifelong resident of Bradley County and was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
Freeda retired from the Central Service Association after 40-plus years. She loved cooking, going to church, singing in the choir and spending time with her family — especially her grandsons.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Bill Griffith, Tommy Griffith, Travis Griffith and Terry Griffith; and sister, Phyllis Delay.
Left behind to cherish her memory, are her husband of 54 years, Jerry Hysinger; son, J.J. (Cheryl) Hysinger; daughter, Robin (Eric) Sherlin; grandchildren: Logan Sherlin, Kainan Hysinger and Caden Sherlin; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A Celebration of Life and Home Going for Freeda O. Griffith Hysinger will be held at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 20, 2020, at Mount Olive Ministries, with Pastor Chris Rouse and Pastor Ramon Torres officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will be receiving friends today from noon to 2 p.m. at Mount Olive Ministries.
