Freddy Franklin Cartwright, 78, of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, at a Chattanooga healthcare facility.
A lifelong resident of Cleveland, he was born to the late Parris and Ruth Cartwright. Some may remember him from working at Vest Grocery. He served our country in the National Guard for nine years. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren, taking them fishing or to the park.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sons: Ricky and Steven Cartwright.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 17 years, Ina Cartwright; two stepchildren: Ida Montgomery (Anthony Moneymaker) and Joseph Haney (Misty Moses); 15 grandchildren, including two that were very special to him: Angela Austin and Tyler Clay Haney; five great-grandchildren; two brothers: Jerry Cartwright (Kathy) and C.L. Cartwright (Bobbie); as well as several friends and loved ones.
There will be a memorial service held at a later date.
