Flora Ann Faulkner-Dickey, 92, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018.
She lived her final years and moments with her daughter, Sandy, her husband, Steve, their son, Joey, and their two little dogs, Cocoa and Gizmo, in their home in Cleveland.
On June 8, 1925, Flora Ann was born in Colorado Springs, Colo., where she lived most of her life. She married Edgar R. Faulkner on Sept. 15, 1946, and they had three daughters, Sandy, Jan and Lynn.
She enjoyed: swimming, photography, drawing, painting, reading and dancing at her high school reunions. She and husband, Ed, are remembered for leading a group of horseback riders, The Aspen Poppers, on a Labor Day trail ride from Green Mountain Falls, over Pike’s Peak, and into Cripple Creek.
She is survived by her two younger brothers; three daughters; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family extends thanks and appreciation to Hearth Hospice, At Home Primary Care and Guardian Home Health Services for their personalized and tender care of Flora Ann. They’ also thank the private care givers who helped, and neighbors: Peggy Wishon and Anne Bryant, who offered companionship and care for the past seven years.
A memorial service will be held at Living Word Church in Cleveland on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 2 p.m.
A private graveside service will be held this summer at the mountain cemetery in Four Mile, Colo.
