Faye June Lawson, 83, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, in a local health care facility.
She was born on July 18, 1935, in Polk County to the late Harley and Monnie McTaggart, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Sheriff Lamar Lawson.
Faye worked at Hardwick Clothes for a number of years, and at Gibson’s Discount Center. Before that, she was a homemaker. She was a faithful member at Durkee Road Church of God of Prophecy. She showed her love by being very involved at her church in the ladies ministry, her senior Sunday School Class and as a fervent prayer warrior in the Prayer Ministry.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, at Peerless Road Church of God of Prophecy.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Church.
