Urgent-care facility to open Friday

Posted

Erlanger Express Care has arrived in Cleveland.

The urgent and primary care ambulatory facility will open on Friday.

The facility, located inside the 36,000-square-foot, two-floor Bradley Heritage Medical Park on Holiday Inn Express Way N.W., will staff primary-care physicians, as well as physicians specializing in cardiology, urology, orthopedics and pediatrics.

According to Pat Charles, corporate communications director for Erlanger Health System, the Cleveland-based Express Care is Erlanger’s sixth urgent-care facility, developed in partnership with Noon Development in Chattanooga.

Charles said the Chattanooga-based healthcare system has opened Express Care centers in Soddy-Daisy, Hayesville, N.C., Ringgold, Ga., downtown Chattanooga and on Gunbarrel Road at the Erlanger East Hospital campus.

Erlanger President and CEO Dr. William Jackson said by providing specialists and medical services in Cleveland, "we are responding to a vital community need and helping improve healthcare delivery in the region."

“We believe area residents should have the option to receive care closer to home, and that includes the 400 Erlanger employees, physicians and their family members who live in Bradley and Polk counties,” he said.

Charles said Erlanger Express Care facilities are open seven days a week, "offering extended evening and weekend hours for both adults and children."

“A team of healthcare professionals at each location will provide care for non-life threatening illnesses, injuries and other health needs — from cuts and colds to fractures, breaks and sprains," she said.

No appointments are needed at any of Erlanger’s urgent-care sites, and flu shots are available at the Cleveland location for area residents who have not yet been vaccinated.

Erlanger Express Care facilities are open seven days a week, offering extended evening and weekend hours for both adults and children.  Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

On Dec. 5, a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held to introduce Cleveland’s new Erlanger Express Care, Primary Care, Cardiology and Physical Therapy facilities.

“All four of these Cleveland-based healthcare services are conveniently located off Paul Huff Parkway at 4312 Holiday Inn Express Way N.W.,” Charles said.

The phone number for Cleveland's Erlanger Express Care is 423-331-5200.
