Elaine Mason

Elaine Mason passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was the daughter of the late Beulah and Taylor Gentry and was also preceded in death by her siblings: Zelma Cornleison, Gertrude Tracy, Ruth Cain, Ronnie Gentry and Robert Gentry.

She was a member of the Michigan Avenue Baptist Church, where she played the organ for over 16 years. She was currently a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga. Elaine was passionate about her faith and she shared the gospel through Precept Bible Study for many years.

She adored her husband, children and grandchildren. She also taught line dancing for 14 years and was an avid primitive antique collector.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Frank Mason; her children: Michael Mason, Shawn McCluskey, Mark Mason and his wife, Kelly; her grandchildren: Jacob Mason and his wife, Briley, Mason McCluskey, Maggie Yaun and her husband, Brandon, Josey McCluskey and Patrick Patel; and her great grandchild, Riverlee McCluskey.

A Remembrance of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, North Ocoee Street Chapel, with the Rev. Richard Mason officiating. The interment will follow at Red Hill Cemetery, with Mark Mason, Michael Mason, Jacob Mason, Mason McCluskey, Patrick Patel and Brandon Yaun serving as casket bearers.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
