Edna Ruth Palmer, 61, passed away peacefully at her home in Old Fort on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018.
She was a member of Mt. Olive Church of God. Edna loved working in her flowers, the beach, fishing, but most of all she loved her family and her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jenus and Jewel Dunn; and her sister, Joanne Cofer.
We are all going to miss her sweetness.
She is survived by her loving husband, Darren, of 29 years; son, Juan Gomez; daughter, Melissa Ortega (Jose); sisters, Brenda Smith (Jay), and Louise McDonald; grandson, Hunter; granddaughter, Hannah; and two great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Sears officiating. Interment will follow the service in Dill Cemetery.
You are invited to share a personal memory of Edna, or your condolences with her family, at her online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com.
Companion Funeral and Cremation Service and the Cody family are honored to assist the Palmer family with these arrangements.
