Douglas M. Powers, 74, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017, at a Chattanooga health care facility.
He retired from the Parks and Recreation Department with the City of Cleveland. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Sallie Melinda Sims Powers; two brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include his sister, Beulah Powers Hicks; and several nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. David O’Neal officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
His family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 1 to 2 p.m., at the funeral home prior to the service.
