Delores (Ingram) Beaty, 83, a resident of Cleveland, went to be with her Lord Jesus on Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, with her loved ones by her side.
She was born on Nov. 27, 1933, to the late Elsie (Mullinax) Gates and the late Jim Ingram.
All that knew her knew how she lived her life, that she loved the Lord. She always worked hard and she loved to be outside working in her yard. More than anything, Delores loved her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Forriester; brother, Ernie Ingram; and sisters, Norma Johnson and Jackie Cathey.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, the love of her life and her devout husband of 69 years, the Rev. Bill Beaty; children: Clinton (Linda) Beaty, Donna Prince, Ricky Beaty, Jerri Williams, and Misty (Tracy) Sewell; daughter-in-law, Theresa (Lowe) Beaty; special and only niece, Debbie Herman; six granddaughters: Wendy (Jon) Perry, Tambra (Mark) Ratledge, Stephanie (Sam) Sewell, Angie (Michael) Waters, Tara (Joey) Scott, and Deestiney Beaty; nine great-grandchildren: (Haden/Ethan), (Halia/Makai), (Gage/Gavin), (Steven), and (Seth/Sierra); and several nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will hold visitation on Friday evening, Oct. 27, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home, 2419 Georgetown Road N.W.
A Celebration of Life graveside service is planned for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, in the Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Minister Eddie Scott officiating the service. Sam Sewell, Gavin Sewell, Gage Matott, Steven Waters, Joey Scott and Tracy Sewell will be serving as pallbearers.
