Delola McCracken, 76, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 16, 2018, at the family residence.
She was the daughter of the late Maurine Neighbors Hinkle and Floyd Hinkle. She was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Judy McCracken, and her brother-in-law, Lloyd Green.
She was a 1959 graduate of Cullman High School in Cullman, Ala. She worked as a secretary with Duncan Electric with 25 years of service. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, working in her vegetable and flower gardens, woodworking and traveling. If she did not have a blueprint or pattern to what she was making, she would make the blueprint or pattern herself. There was nothing she couldn't make! Most of all, she loved spending time with her family!
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother! Delola loved her church and she was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Glenn McCracken of Cleveland; her daughters: June Wooden and her husband, Patrick, of Georgetown, and Delena Savee and her husband, Mike, of Johnson City; her grandchildren: Ashley Wooden, Evan Wooden, Olivia Savee, Emily Wooden and Kade Savee; sisters: Mavle Green of Sheffield Lake, Ohio, Betty Eidson and her husband, Byron, of Cleveland, and Rebecca Goggans and her husband, Greg, of Huntsville, Ala.; her brother, Roger Hinkle and his wife, Jo, of Elyria, Ohio; her mother-in-law, June McCracken; her brother-in-law, Eddie McCracken, both of Cleveland; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Remembrance of Life service will be conducted Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at 3 p.m. from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with the Rev. Patrick Wooden and Evan Wooden officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Eddie McCracken, Harold Smith, Tony Mattace, Mike Savee, Jim Bryant, Stan Smith, Evan Wooden and Kade Savee serving as casket bearers.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Delola's name to the First Baptist Manna Ministry, C/O First Baptist Church, 1275 Stuart Road N. E. Cleveland, TN 37312.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
