David Lee McDowell, 72, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at a local hospital.
He worked for a number of years at Jackson's Manufacturing, before he was disabled. He loved to fish, camp and spend time outdoors, as well as listen to music in his beloved truck. He had a great sense of humor and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph L. McDowell Sr. and Hazel Clark McDowell; brothers: Joseph L. McDowell Jr., James McDowell, Kenneth McDowell and Junior McDowell.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sons: Mikel Lawson and Charles Edward McDowell; grandchildren: Micah Shayne Lawson and Winter Hope Robinson; three great-grandchildren; siblings: Jerry McDowell Sr. and Carolyn McDowell; nieces and nephews: Jerry McDowell Jr. and Jennifer McDowell; as well as several more nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
