Darris Morton, 53, of Cleveland, passed away on Friday, Oct. 16, 2020, at his residence.
Formerly of Chattanooga, Darris was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church and loved sharing his faith with others. He loved fishing, hunting, golf and camping.
He was preceded in death by his father, James W. Morton; brother, Daniel W. Morton; grandparents, R.S. (Martha) McLemore and Carl (Eva) E. Morton.
He is survived by his mother, Harriet Morton; fiancée, Kimberly E. Weldon; siblings: Denise (Michael) Pierce; sister-in-law, Kristy Morton; nieces: Amber (John) Dye, Audra (Daniel) Benson, Ali (Arthel) Clark and Kelsey (Jared) Fox; nephew, Colton Morton; and a host of great-nieces and -nephews.
Visitation will be held at Companion Funeral Home in Athens, located at 410 S. White St., on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020, from 10 a.m. to noon.
The service will follow at noon in the chapel, with Pastor Collin Cooke officiating.
Burial will be held at Stock Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Knoxville.
