The Ocoee Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will hold a genealogy workshop at the Museum Center at 5ive Points on Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Lunch will be provided from noon to 1 p.m. The cost of the workshop will be $20 for Museum and DAR members and $35 for nonmembers.
The workshop will assist interested individuals in learning how to document your revolutionary ancestor’s line for the DAR and where to find it.
Tennessee state organizing secretary MerryAnne Pierson, TSDAR lineage research chair Judy Jenkins, and NSDAR America 250! Our Patriots vice chair Susan Thomas will conduct the workshop for the Ocoee Chapter. Bring a laptop and family tree information.
Janice Neyman, executive director of the Museum Center at 5ive Points, said, “it is an honor to collaborate with the DAR in offering our facility for the Genealogy Day workshop. Genealogy is a popular hobby, enjoyed by many in our community. Our missions coincide through historic preservation and education.”
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in 1890 to promote patriotism, preserve American history, and support better education for the nation’s children. Its members are descended from patriots who won American independence during the Revolutionary War. To learn more about the work of today’s DAR, visit www.DAR.org
The Museum Center at 5ive Points is both a museum and cultural center that houses exhibits and artifacts relating to the history of the Ocoee Region of Tennessee, which includes Bradley, Polk, and Hamilton County east of the Tennessee River.
