Cleveland State Community College has named a classroom in its new academic building in recognition of SouthEast Bank.
SouthEast Bank earned this acknowledgement through charitable contributions to the Community First Campaign. SouthEast Bank also supported Cleveland Community College by being a sponsor for the Community First Awards and Gala in April of 2018.
“We greatly appreciate SouthEast Bank’s generous support of our Community First Campaign. In recognition of their contribution, a classroom in our new building will be named in their honor,” said Bill Seymour, president of Cleveland State Community College.
The Cleveland State Community First Campaign works to ensure excellent educational programs in southeast Tennessee. The Community First Campaign initiates the community and student body engagement by creating an empowering work environment, developing new buildings and making renovations to the campus.

SouthEast Bank is known to invest locally in higher education programs and community-based philanthropy. In 2017, SouthEast Bank donated $26,000 towards scholarships at Cleveland State Community College and continues to give to the Community First Plan at the school.
SouthEast Bank City President DeWayne Morrow expressed his gratitude to SouthEast Bank by saying, “As an alumni of Cleveland State I feel very privileged to work for an organization that is willing to show their continued support for our local community college.”
SouthEast Bank strives to promote education across the state of Tennessee and in total, SouthEast Bank’s holding company has granted $20 million to support secondary and post-secondary education schools and education-related events.
