Cowboy Gospel Jubilee to showcase Mountain Road Bluegrass

Mountain Road Bluegrass will headline the Cowboy Gospel Jubilee Friday at 7 p.m.

“Mountain Road is one of the newest and most exciting bluegrass bands in the area,” said Joel Moore,  producer of the weekly show. “They are a group of exceptional pickers with many years of experience playing bluegrass music.”

The band is comprised of Bobby Privett on banjo, Ed Blaylock on bass, Colin Maybry on guitar, and Dennis Lakens on mandolin. Having been in bluegrass many years picking with family and friends, the guys got together and liked what they were hearing — and Mountain Road was born.
Will Nichols is the host for the Cowboy Gospel Jubilee and invites everyone to come out. The Cowboy Gospel Jubilee is a come-as-you-are event, admission is free and a love offering is taken for the headliners.
The Cowboy Gospel Jubilee is held at the Cleveland Cowboy Church in the Dockery Heights community at 3040 Blythe Road, off Dockery Lane, between Blue Springs and Blackburn Roads.
