Commission to discuss SPCA contract

Although any number of topics can potentially be brought forward at a Bradley County Commission work session meeting, only one item is on today’s meeting agenda: the SPCA contract for the county’s animal shelter.

Commissioner Erica Davis, who is chairman of the SPCA of Bradley County’s board of directors, will present this item. The contract was briefly discussed in a recent Bradley County Commission meeting, but no details were given at that time.

The meeting will also include a report from County Mayor D. Gary Davis and reports from commissioners, as well as announcements and opportunities for anyone in the audience to bring items before the commission.

The invocation will be given by Kay Horner, with Awakening America Ministries.

The Bradley County Commission meets at noon today in the County Commission Courtroom of the Courthouse.

There are no committee meetings today, but the 4th District commissioners will host a town hall meeting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, at Park View Elementary School. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss community needs and priorities.
