A 31-year-old Cleveland man was killed when a vehicle he was reportedly working on fell on him late Monday night.
Christopher James Case, of 344 Hughes Road, was reported to have been found underneath the vehicle. The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office was called to the residence, and found Case dead at the scene, reports said.
According to BCSO reports, Case’s mother spoke with him around midnight Monday, and found her son underneath the vehicle just before 7 a.m. Tuesday. Patrol deputies with the BCSO responded to the scene at 7:11 a.m. Tuesday.
BCSO Communications Director James Bradford said that the preliminary investigation indicated Hughes was working underneath a vehicle, and at some point the vehicle fell on his chest.
No foul play was indicated by the sheriff’s office.
