The Rev. Arris Cavender will be the speaker for the His Hands Extended Devotional at Garden Plaza, 3500 Keith St., on Wednesday at 7 a.m.

Gum Springs Baptist Church will have a churchwide picnic on Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. A map for the location is posted in the church vestibule, or call 458-4348 for directions.

Good Hope Church, Decatur, will have a singing on Sunday, 6 p.m., featuring the group "Common Ground. For more information, contact Ed at 423-506-3516.

A “Supernatural Healing Symposium” will be held at the Double Tree by Hilton, 407 Chestnut St., Chattanooga, on Sept. 9 from 3 to 5 p.m. Free registration is offered beginning 30 minutes before the event.

Evangelist Johnny Staton will be speaking at Fourth Street Community Church on Sept. 10. The church is located at 855 5th St. Cleveland, TN 37311. Service starts at 10 a.m.

A young preachers’ revival will be held at Covenant Baptist Church, 249 Calhoun Road, Friday at 7 p.m. and again on Saturday morning, 10 a.m until noon. (Lunch will be provided from noon to 1 p.m.)

Philippi Baptist Church is having homecoming Sunday at 10:30 a.m. DeAnna Jacobs will be the featured singer.
