Tammy Johnson will be the speaker for the His Hands Extended Devotional at Garden Plaza, 3500 Keith St., on Aug. 16 at 7 a.m.

Trinity United Methodist Church, 731 First St. N.E., will hold a fish fry Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m.

———

Washington Avenue Baptist Church, 1720 Perry St., will have homecoming service Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Special guest singers will be the Bowling Family. Jason Butts is pastor.

Gum Springs Baptist Church, 383 Gum Springs Road, is having a “grand homecoming” Sunday, beginning at 11 a.m. There will be preaching, choir and special music and singing. Dinner will be served in the fellowship hall.

Community Chapel Church of God, 1807 Blythe Ave., will have its monthly giveaway of clothes and food Aug. 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For information, call 479-2143.

A Red-back Church Hymnal Singing will be led by Jack Clark 6 p.m. Sunday, at Westwood Baptist Church.
