Dr. Allan Lockerman will be the speaker for the His Hands Extended Devotional on Wednesday at Garden Plaza, 3500 Keith St., at 7 a.m. This will be the last devotion until March 2018.

Gum Springs Baptist Church will have a Thanksgiving service Nov. 21, at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to the service, and to a soup and salad dinner. Call 458-4348 for more information.

Community Chapel Church of God, 1807 Blythe Ave., will have its monthly food giveaway on Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, call 479-2143.

Boanerges Baptist Church will hold a benefit singing Saturday, starting at 4:30 p.m., for the Pickel family. Everyone is invited to be guests of the youth group, who will host a spaghetti dinner after the singing. Prospect Church of God, 2220 Harrison Pike, will have special music featuring the 2X2 Quartet, along with the children's and youth departments on Sunday morning. A Thanksgiving dinner will be served after the service. There will be no evening service.

Thompson Springs Baptist Church will have a gospel singing on Saturday, 11 a.m., featuring Gary Winningham.
