Charlene Rodgers Cagle, 55, of Tellico Plains, passed away at 2:55 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2019, at her home.

She was a member of Delano Baptist Church. She had served alongside her husband in missionary ministry for areas in East Tennessee and St. Louis, Mo., for many years.

She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Dr. Dennis Cagle; daughters and sons-in-law: Tara and James Smith, and Ashley and Jeff Spitler; son and daughter-in-law, Brittain and Marissa Cagle; grandchildren: Abbi, Jackson, Matthias, Asher, Levi, Thaddaeus, Fender, Jovie, Gibson, Bryant, Brailyn and Evan; father, Glen Rodgers; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Danny Lingerfelt; mother-in-law, Beryl Cagle; and several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Rodgers; grandparents, Charlie and Lura Laney, Erskin and Annie Rodgers; and father-in-law, Harold Cagle.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Island Creek Baptist Church, with Dr. Dennis Cagle officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery, with the Rev. Robert Judd officiating.

The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at Island Creek Baptist Church.

Arrangements are by Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
