Caroline Elizabeth Pitman, 73, passed into glory on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019, at her home in Bakersville, N.C.
She was born on Nov. 9, 1946, in Winston-Salem, N.C., to the late Hubert and Caroline (Shaw) Privette. She graduated from Newton-Conover High School in Conover, N.C., and attended Winthrop College in Rock Hill, S.C.
She was happily married for 45 years to the late Carroll Sonny Pitman, the love of her life.
She co-owned and operated Water Professionals for almost 30 years, with Sonny, in Cleveland, where they raised their family and were very active at North Cleveland Church of God, and later at Mount Olive Church of God.
Survivors include her son, Jason (Jamie) Pitman of Cleveland; daughter, Amanda (David) De Zoort of Bakersville, N.C.; her brother, Jay (Linda) Privette of Lancaster, S.C., and her three beloved grandchildren: Jayce, Sydney and Jonas Pitman, of Cleveland.
She was loved by all who knew her, and known for her kindness and generosity. She will be sorely missed!
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2019, from 1 until 3 p.m., at Lee University's Leonard Center on Parker Street.
