Edward Merritt receives master’s degree

Edward P. Merritt of Georgetown received his master of business administration degree from Park University during the spring of 2020.

The campus is located in Parksville, Mo. The commencement ceremony on May 9 was cancelled due to the pandemic.

The University had 615 students eligible to graduate — 253 students received a master’s degree and/or a graduate certificate, and 362 students received a bachelor’s degree, associate degree and/or undergraduate certificate.

595 graduate from Union University

JACKSON — Five hundred ninety-five students graduated from Union University after the spring semester ended May 14. 
Madeline Fleming of Cleveland received a bachelor of arts degree in public relations.

Taylor Cavett of Georgetown received a bachelor of science in nursing.

Jordan Easley of Georgetown received a master of Christian studies (online only).

Commencement exercises originally set for May 16 have been rescheduled for June 20, because of the COVID-19 pandemic and will be held on the university's Great Lawn. 

Located in Jackson, Union University is a liberal arts-based university affiliated with the Tennessee Baptist Convention. Founded in 1823, Union is the oldest institution relating to the Southern Baptist Convention.
