The Walker Valley boys bowling team continued its strong start to the season with a 24-3 defeat of McCallie earlier this week.
The Mustangs were red hot in the lanes as they led the total pinfall count, 3,539-2,577.
Freshman standout Jacob Brown was excellent as he bowled a high series of 678 with game scores of 238, 223 and 217. He is ranked sixth among freshmen in the state and third in the district.
Senior Jonathon Womble also led the way, rolling a 637 (174, 223, 235). With a trip to the state tournament under his belt, Womble is ranked 24th in the state.
Fifth-ranked senior Hayden Word finished with a 590 (189, 202, 197).
Also making for a superb final pinfall total was Jacob Jarnigan 581 (170,186, 225-career high) and Drew Lowe 555 (171, 160, 224).
Archie Bowers bowled a 148 in game one, while Ethan Bates rolled strong with a 170 and 180 in games two and three.
