Bradley COVID-19 figures rise; 503 active cases

The COVID-19 case count for Tennessee as of Thursday was 102,870, including 1,033 deaths, 4,572 hospitalizations and 64,234 recoveries.
 
Since Wednesday, there were 2,049 additional cases, 2,105 recoveries, 90 hospitalizations and 13 deaths.
 
In Bradley County, as of Thursday, 1,593 individuals have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, up 38 cases since Wednesday, since the first local case was first reported on March 20, resulting in 1,080 recoveries, 503 active cases and 10 deaths.
 
Polk County recorded its first COVID-19 fatality on Thursday.
 
 
Confirmed case totals for Bradley County neighbors include: 
 
 
• Grundy: 94 cases, 64 recoveries and 2 deaths;
 
 
• Hamilton: 5,395 cases, 3,619 recoveries and 45 deaths;
 
 
• Marion: 190 cases, 106 recoveries and 4 deaths;
 
 
• McMinn: 452 cases, 296 recoveries and 20 deaths;
 
 
• Meigs: 87 cases, 40 recoveries and 0 deaths;
 
 
• Monroe: 305 cases, 159 recoveries and 9 deaths;
 
 
• Polk: 134 cases, 63 recoveries and 1 death;
 
 
• Rhea: 466 cases, 350 recoveries and 1 deaths; and
 
 
• Sequatchie: 89 cases, 55 recoveries and 0 deaths.
 
 
 Counties with Tennessee's highest numbers of cases include:
 
 
• Bedford: 808 cases, 609 recoveries and 10 deaths;
 
 
• Bledsoe: 656 cases, 634 recoveries and 1 death;
 
 
• Davidson: 18,676 cases, 13,819 recoveries and 195 deaths; 
 
 
• Hamblen: 1,125 cases, 652 recoveries and 13 deaths; 
 
 
• Knox: 3,575 cases, 1,740 recoveries and 28 deaths;
 
 
• Montgomery: 1,568 cases, 653 recoveries and 11 deaths;
 
 
• Putnam: 1,502 cases, 1,080 recoveries and 13 deaths;
 
 
• Robertson: 1,374 cases, 800 recoveries and 16 deaths;
 
 
• Rutherford: 5,753 cases, 3,008 recoveries and 49 deaths;
 
 
• Shelby: 20,082 cases, 14,923 recoveries and 275 deaths;
 
 
• Sumner: 3,044 cases, 1,556 recoveries and 68 deaths;
 
 
• Trousdale: 1,567 cases, 1,485 recoveries and 6 deaths;
 
 
• Williamson: 3,056 cases, 1,726 recoveries and 22 deaths; and
 
 
 • Wilson: 1,973 cases, 1,142 recoveries and 20 deaths.
 
 
According to Johns Hopkins University, as of Friday morning, more than 4.4 million individuals in the United States have tested positive for COVID-19, with 152,075 deaths and more than 1.4 million recoveries.
 
Globally, more than 17.3 million individuals have tested positive, resulting in 673,822 deaths and more than 10.1 million recoveries, according to Johns Hopkins.
