Bradley County Commission to host two more budget hearings

Two budget hearings are on the agenda of today’s work session meeting of the Bradley County Commission. Hearings will be held for both Bradley County Schools and the Bradley County Road Department.

The budget hearings are scheduled because both departments were given more time beyond the budget deadline to submit their budget requests, in order to wait for state and federal funding information.

In addition, commissioners will discuss a resolution to rezone from Forestry/Agricultural/Residential (FAR) district to General Commercial (C-2) district property located at Washington Avenue S.E., a vacant lot. The Bradley County Regional Planning Commission has recommended approval of this rezoning request.

In addition, the meeting will include a report from County Mayor D. Gary Davis and reports from commissioners, as well as announcements and opportunities for anyone in the audience to bring items before the County Commission.

The invocation will be given by Commissioner Kevin Raper.

The Bradley County Commission meets at noon today in the County Commission Courtroom of the Courthouse.
