Grownups, you’ll have fun reading from these books to your children. Written and illustrated by Debra Wantujlok, the Zippy Kids books have brought families together in home devotions, delighted children in Sunday school and provided biblical truths in the language of children which they can read and understand in their own time.

The first in the series, “Sharing the Message of Christ,” the 90-page book starts with “In The Beginning,” and lists chapters from “In The Bag,” to “New Recruits,” including others such as, “Helping Mr. D.,” “What Will You Do?” and “The Half Has Never Been Told.”
Told in story form, with ordinary items taking on character and personality, the book presents the Gospel in a way which appeals to the younger set. (Who wouldn’t be interested in Zippy, the Wow Clicky Pen, giving advice?) Other characters include Clippy, Pushy Pin, Aquilla Feather Pen, G.W. (God’s Word), Paddy, Dude the doodler, Rae, the Eraser, Bev the Pencil Sharpener, Rudy the Ruler, Carol the Bag, Sissy Scissors, Posey Post, Lil Viv, Ted Thread, Ned Needle and Cushi Pin Cushion and Telly the Telephone – a whole catalog of tools.
The question is asked in the closing: “What is in your hand?”

The second in the Zippy Kids series, “Operation: C.O.M.E., expands to 159 pages and adds the characters of Tattles Tailbearer Telegraph, Deputy, Marshall, EmBELLishing Belle, Agitation Annie, Earnest Expectation Heart, Mo Tivate Joe, Orderlily, Frankie, Pinkerson Detective and Hearsay Herald Horn.
The book begins with a mysterious call, strangers in the house and a terrible smell. The readers are asked to help Lil Viv solve the mysteries of Telly and OPERATION C.O.M.E.
Taking their cues from C. – Communication; O. – Operation; M. – Manifestation; and E. – Excellence, the tools agreed, “We can make a difference.”

Wantulok and Willard, her husband of 32 years, live in Search, Arkansas. They have five sons, two daughters-in-law and two grandsons. She has ministered in various capacities for 38 years. Encouraged by her parents and grandparents, Wantulok writes, she pursued each opportunity with excellence being the goal. Her emphasis has always been toward children’s ministries, although she has served in nearly every facet of church work. The entire family enjoys ministering through revivals, singing, seminars, camps, retreats and classes.
