Bobby Lee Vaughn, 83, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, at Life Care Center of Cleveland.
He was born in Plant City, Fla., and moved to Cleveland in 1965 to attend Lee College. He was a contractor and bi-vocational pastor. He pastored Mechanicsburg Baptist Chapel in Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Blythe Avenue Baptist Church in Cleveland. He went on many mission trips to Haiti and Venezuela and loved working with the Bradley County Jail Ministry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Miller and Mary Vaughn; brothers: George Wayford Vaughn and LeRoy Vaughn; and sister, Winnie Mae Conner.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Annette Vaughn; daughters: Cathy (Don Allen) Cross, Barbara (Jim) Shuller, of Harrisburg, Pa, Penny (Eathon) Hicks, Brenda (Larry) Ramsey, Sharon (Tim) Summars and LeAnne (Bob) Beckwith, of Louisville, Ky.; sisters: Leona Cameron of Lakeland, Fla., and Martha Dansby of Plant City, Fla.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, from 3 to 5 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Cleveland, with the funeral starting at 5 p.m.
Interment will be held on Sunday, at 1 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requests donations be made to the Bradley County Jail Ministry.
