Bobby Jim “Butch” Wilson Jr., 60, of Old Fort, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, at the family residence.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Rush Wilson; and his nephew, Adam Willis.
Butch was a skilled welder, mechanic and machinist and was an avid outdoorsman’s loving to fish and hunt.
He is survived by his father, Bobby Jim Wilson Sr.; his daughters: Carrie Wilson and Jamie Tickel (Ethan); his grandkids: Bella Tickel and Zeke Tickel; his sisters: Lynnette Lillard (Marty), Vicky Willis (Greg) and Christy Paterson (Doug); along with several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, at Ball Play Baptist Church with the Rev. Ricky Woody officiating.
The interment will follow in the church cemetery with Ethan Tickel, Scotty Kersey, Brian Watts, Will Vance, Julian Platts, Eddie Swallows, Erick Swallows and Mike Payne serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, Wildwood Avenue Chapel.
