The annual St. Francis’ Blessing of the Animals was held on Oct. 6 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. A salute will also be offered for the late Sue Little, who taught humane education in the community as well as worked closely with the Cleveland Animal Shelter to help find committed caregivers for abandoned and abused animals, a spokesman said. Scarlett and Patty, shown with human companions Laney Callaway and Callaway Bray, prepare to be blessed by the Rev. Joel Huffstetler and Deacon Art Bass.
