Mr. and Mrs. Brad H. Benton of Charleston have announced the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Neeley Elizabeth Benton, to Jonathan Andrew Cain of Chatsworth, Georgia.

 

The bridegroom elect is the son of Bishop and Mrs. Anthony R. Cain. The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 17, at Benton Farms.

 

The bride elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell C. Neeley of Cleveland, Bobbie June Benton of Cleveland, and the late Cletus H. Benton.

 

Neeley Benton received her bachelor’s degree from Lee University in teaching English to speakers of other languages. She is a member of First Baptist of Cleveland as well as the Cleveland Emmaus Community. She is an employee of Benton Enterprises and Element Boutique.

 

Jonathan Cain is the grandson of Mrs. Marie Potts of Rockmart, Georgia, the late James Cain, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Russell D. McGlone. He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Lee University. He is a member and volunteer at Keith Street Ministries. He is employed at Unum as a short term disability specialist.
