Summer Reading Ages 6-12

Find out why "Libraries ROCK" with fun activities, crafts, and stories. Choose a weekly time that's best for you. Please sign-up on our website, & click on the "Summer Reading 2018" tab. Meets Tuesday in the Community Room from 1  to 2  p.m. and again on Wednesday from 11  a.m. to noon.

Teen Book Talk

We’ll talk about your favorite of YA books. This month is Reader's Choice! Come prepared to talk about your favorite read of the summer. This program meets from 4:30 to  5:30 p.m. and will be held in the Teen Zone. Ages 13-17 only. Questions? Email

Free Lunch Wednesdays

Free lunch for all under 18 years of age. Meets in the Community Room from 1  to 2:30 p.m.. Wednesdays through July 26.

Summer Movie Matinee & Gaming

Mary Poppins - Rated G  | 139 minutes, followed by video and board games for the family. Wednesday in the Community Room from 2  to 5:30 p.m.

Baby Bookworms

Story time for ages birth to 3 yrs...stories, music & fun activities! Meets Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon and again at 1 to  2 p.m. in the Community Room.

LIbrary Tour

Get a first-hand view of your Cleveland Bradley County Public Library. Meets Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. Tour starts at the Circulation Desk.

Scribblers: Teen Writing Club

A writing club for teens ages 13-17. This month, we'll be making our own smashbooks. Supplies provided, but feel free to bring photos, concert tickets, or other flat mementos or inspirations to include! Email for more information. Meets Thursday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Teen Zone.

Library Musical

If you are a good reader, good singer or good at playing an instrument, join us for the library's first musical for children. It's all about having fun. Meet us this Thursday in the Community Room from 6:45 to 8:30 p.m. for rehearsal. Our performance for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 26 at 7 p.m. Dress rehearsal will be on the 25th of July. This program is for ages 4 to 17.

Preschool Story Time

Lively story time for ages 3 to 5 years, with crafts, music and stories. Meets Tuesday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. in the Community Room and again on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Mid-Day Build

All ages are welcome to a lego building event Friday  at 12:15 p.m. in the Community  Room. Come build with us.

Teen Summer Reading After Hours

Teen Summer Reading 2018: Libraries Rock! Join us Friday for an After Hours showing of Les Miserables (PG-13). Ages 13-17 only. Email with questions.  Meets Friday in the Community Room from 7 to 9 p.m.

Multi-age Summer Reading age 4-12

The Book Nook

Don’t forget to stop by the Book Nook the next time you visit the library!  Friends of the Library (FOLA) operates and maintains the Nook, where you can find gently used fiction and non-fiction books at bargain prices.  The Book Nook is located near the General Fiction department on the first floor.

Collectible Books

Stop by the display of antique and collectible books on the main floor lobby the next time you visit the library. A book is provided for silent auction bids if you are interested in purchasing.
