No Programs — Independence Day
The library will not be sharing History Moments with Margot or hosting the Summer Drive-in Series today. We hope you enjoy the holiday and stay safe celebrating the Continental Congress’s formal acceptance of the Declaration of Independence.

Curbside Pick-Up
The library has re-instituted its curbside pick-up service to Bradley County library patrons during the COVID-19 outbreak. We ask that you still limit requests to seven items per library card and allow at least 24 hours for your selection to be retrieved.

To reserve items, you can go to the library’s online catalog and log in to your account. When you find a title that shows as being “IN”, click on the item image or title. This will take you to the item summary. Look for the “Reserve” button. The titles you reserve will be pulled for you. You can also email circulation@clevelandlibrary.org or call the Circulation Desk at 423-472-2163, ext. 119 to request reservations. You will be notified when items are ready for pick-up.

When picking up your materials, please stay in your vehicle and call the Circulation Desk at 423-472-2163, ext. 119. Library staff will place your items at the designated pick-up point after receiving your call. You can then retrieve the items after showing your library card or picture ID. You must have your library card or picture ID to pick up items.

If you do not yet have a library card, you can apply for a card online by clicking on the “Get Your Library Card” button on our website’s homepage. To get your new library card, please bring a picture ID and two proofs of address that you can show to staff from your car. You will need two proofs of address to use our curbside pick-up service. If you only have one proof of address, we can still get you a library card that has access to all of our Library eResources including Tennessee READS and TumbleBooks.

5-Phase Reopening Plan
Phase 1: Staff report in. We will work to keep our social distance during this time as well as taking other precautions. Staff will work on projects related to reopening and continued virtual programming.

Phase 2: Curbside pick-up resumes.

Phase 3: Patrons will be allowed back in the building with proper social distancing. It will be in a controlled manner, limiting the number of patrons in at one time as well as time limits. The Community Room and the main lobby will be the only areas patrons can access. The Community Room will be used as a holding area and patron computer center. The main lobby will be reserved for seniors, patrons with limited mobility, and at-risk individuals. Patrons will not be allowed into the material stacks at this point. Tablets will be available for patrons to video chat with staff members, who will retrieve materials from the stacks. Meeting spaces will not be available during this time. Patrons are requested to wear a mask in the main branch and the History Branch. The History Branch will be open to limited use similar to the main branch.

Phase 4: Most areas of the library will be open to the public on a limited schedule. This will allow for enhanced cleaning during this time. Social distancing will continue to be observed. There will still be a shortened time limit for computer use. Meeting rooms used for groups smaller than 10 people may return with proper social distancing. Patrons are requested to wear a mask when in the building.

Phase 5: The library will be open to the public, business as usual.

Notes: All returned materials will still be quarantined for three days before returning to the shelf during Phases 1-4. Virtual programming will continue during this time, as well as chat reference, and the ability to get a library card online. The library will be closely following all the governor’s and CDC recommendations. Some of the stages may flow quickly from one to another while others may take longer to implement, but we look forward to seeing you back in the library in the future!

For more information on the library, its resources, and events you can visit www.clevelandlibrary.org, find us on social media under Cleveland Bradley County Public Library, or call us at 423-472-2163.
