2018 Holly Ball to be Emceed by Dr. James P. Stone (Pat)

Dr. James Patterson Stone, is set to be the emcee of the 56th Annual Cleveland-Athens Holly Ball on Saturday, Dec. 29.

Dr. Stone made his own debut when he escorted his daughter, Jessica Stone, to be presented as a debutante in the 2015 Cleveland-Athens Holly Ball.

Dr. James Patterson Stone, is set to be the emcee of the 56th annual Cleveland-Athens Holly Ball on Saturday, Dec. 29. 

Dr. Stone made his own debut when he escorted his daughter, Jessica Stone, to be presented as a debutante in the 2015 Cleveland-Athens Holly Ball.

Dr. Stone is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dupuis Stone of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. Dr. Stone is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Virginia Medical School. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center prior to moving to Cleveland.
At Dartmouth, he played freshman and varsity football receiving the Earl P. Hamilton Freshman and Varsity Awards while Dartmouth won four consecutive Ivy League Championships. Throughout his undergraduate and graduate career, he received numerous academic awards such as the Southeastern Surgical Congress Conrad Jobst Award and the American Fracture Association Meyerding Award.
He has been married to Barbara Brittian Stone for 41 years. Mrs. Stone became a member of the Cleveland-Athens Cotillion in 2001. They have two children, Jamey and Jessica Stone. Dr. Stone has attended several cotillion and debutante parties, hosting one of his own parties for his daughter when she was presented in 2015.

Dr. Stone was a founding partner of Southeast Tennessee Orthopaedics in 1984. In 2011, he became a partner in Center for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics. He retired in fall 2017 to spend more time with his family and his new dog, Ellie.
As a longstanding member of Cleveland, Dr. Stone remains active in the Bradley County community. Currently, he serves as a Greenway Board member as well as on the board of the Bradley Cleveland Public Education Foundation. He is an active member of First Baptist Church, supports United Way of the Ocoee Region, and enjoys the many outdoor activities Cleveland has to offer.
