The students at Cleveland Christian School were very excited to meet three paramedics Friday from Bradley County Emergency Medical Service. Students from the fifth, third, and second grade met Cindy Hensley, Tanner Calfee and Stan Clark. The three paramedics showed the students different pieces of equipment that they use daily on their jobs to help people who are sick and injured. During the presentation the paramedics also discussed safety issues like wearing helmets and when to call 911. “This group of students from Cleveland Christian School were very attentive and had some great questions and some of them had very good answers as well. We enjoy showing them what we do, but most importantly, we try to get safety points in there heads to take home and hopefully remember,” said Stan Clark, paramedic. The students also got to get an inside look in the back of the ambulance and for the grand finale they watched the operation of the red lights and sirens. From left are Nikki Calfee, teacher; front, Stan Clark, paramedic; and Tanner Calfee, paramedic. Cindy Hensley, paramedic, is not in the photo.
