Wendell and Jane Maupin of Cleveland, who wed April 4, 1963, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Houston Crass, are celebrating their 50th anniversary. The Maupins have four children: Aaron Maupin; Karen Hood and her husband, Brian; Tina Dunbar and her husband, Donald; and Coy Maupin and his wife, Jamie. They have eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The anniversary couple was surprised with a reception given by their children at the home of their daughter Karen. Mr. Maupin retired after 30 years with the Cleveland Police Department. Mrs. Maupin retired from Schering-Plough (Merck).
