He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Mary Callaway of East Point, Ga.
He retired from Pitman Co. as a printing supply salesman. He was an Eagle Scout and loved gardening in his retirement.
He leaves his wife, Nadine Trantham Callaway: daughters: Amanda (Gus) Trupiano and LeeAnne (Greg) Frazier; stepdaughter, Trudy Fisher; stepson, William Trantham; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; five stepgrandchildren; and three sisters.
A celebration of his life will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2013, at the Memphis Botanica Garden.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Wings Cancer Foundation.
