Westwood Baptist Church welcomes its new youth pastor, Curtis Strange.

Strange has most recently served as pastor for students at Flat Creek Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Ga., as well as with churches in Florida and Kentucky.

His role at Westwood Baptist Church will be to serve on the pastoral team with ministry to middle school and high school students and to give directional leadership to the church’s developing missions ministry.

Strange is a 2004 graduate of Boyce College of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., where he earned a bachelor’s degree in youth ministry. His wife, Elizabeth, is also a Boyce College graduate with a bachelor’s degree in youth ministry, as well.

Strange is a Tennessee native, from Strawberry Plains.

“I am very happy to be back in the area of my hometown,” said Strange. “I am thankful to be a part of this church and to serve this great community.”

He and his wife have two daughters.

Westwood Baptist Church is located at 4001 Georgetown Road N.W. in Cleveland.

Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. and the church gathers for worship at 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. The church offers a full schedule of programming for all ages on Wednesday nights beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Ministry for preschool and children is provided during all regularly scheduled activities.
