Clevelanders are being invited to a rally and reception to welcome home the community's Run to Boston team. The rally is being planned for Saturday morning, April 26, 9 to 10 a.m. on the Courthouse Plaza.
Janey Cooke, whose daughter Britney is one of the runners, is coordinating the event and said all the runners will be back home next weekend and the special event to officially welcome them home will be staged on the same spot where a send off was held. Details of the morning are now being formulated and be announced later this week.
“We thought it would be great for Clevelanders to rally together, welcome our runners home and hear some of the amazing stories that are being lived each day along the way to Boston,” said Mrs. Cooke. “We hope people will line the streets and join at the Courthouse Plaza for this special celebration.”
Cleveland Mayor Tom Rowland and County Mayor D. Gary Davis will honor each of the Boston team members.
