UTC presents Trumpet Enesmble and Low Bass Ensemble

The UTC Music Department is pleased to present the UTC Trumpet Ensemble and Low Brass Ensemble, directed by Erika Schafer and Kenyon Wilson. The performance will take place at the UTC Fine Arts Center, Roland Hayes Concert Hall, 752 Vine St., Chattanooga, on April 3 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the general public. UTC’s Trumpet Ensemble is directed by Schafer, and is made up of UTC students Zach Langley, Justin Wilson, and Nick Wysong. They will be performing “Three Snapshots” by Nicole Piunno, “Toccata for Trumpets” by Paul M. Stouffer, and “Suite for Five Trumpets” by Ronald Lo Presti. Leif Atchley, a junior from Ridgeland High School in Georgia, and Blake Vayda, from Central Hgh School in Chattanooga will be joining the trumpet ensemble for Ronald Presti’s piece. The UTC Low Brass Ensemble, directed by Wilson, includes euphonium, trombone, and tuba students. They will perform “Adagio” by John Stevens, “Three Moods, for tuba ensemble” by Daniel Boone, “Isle of Mann” by Kenyon Wilson, “O Mille Volte” by Luca Marenzio, as arranged by Jay Lichtmann, and the “Song of the Rebels of Zebrzydowski” as arranged by Jay Lichtmann.
