The concert will be held at Memorial Auditorium on Friday evening.
“Tracy Lawrence is one of the most recognizable voices in country music with songs such as ‘Paint Me A Birmingham,’ ‘Time Marches On,’ ‘Alibis,” and ‘Find Out Who Your Friends Are.’ The entertainer has enjoyed 22 songs on the Billboard top 10 charts with 18 number one singles, selling over 13 million albums,” according to his website.
Jonathan Carroll of CPFFA Local 3748 said proceeds from the concert go to helping area families in the event of fire, as well as other programs.
A portion of the proceeds also go toward a $500 scholarship to a local high school student who has an interest in pursuing a fire science degree at Chattanooga State Community College, as well as benefiting firefighter education and training programs so they may better ensure the safety of our community,” Carroll said.
“The Multiplatinum Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music award-winning recording artist has helped shape the sound of Country music for two decades, recently celebrating 20 years in music. Few country artists have ever known the kind of success that Tracy Lawrence has earned and the influence his iconic voice has contributed to the Country music genre,” according to his biography.
His music has inspired a whole new generation of entertainers and fans. Lawrence just released “Headlights, Taillights and Radios,” his first studio album in five years.
A new artist, Rick Huckaby will open the show for Lawrence.
