Hand tools and other items were taken from a No Pone Road residence last week. A report filed by Bradley County deputy Cru Ross identified Paul A. Brumbley as the victim.

According to his report, Ross said Brumbley had left his residence Thursday morning to go to work. When he returned later that day, he discovered a postal package which he had been expecting, was missing.

Brumbley then discovered two chainsaws, a circular saw, an electric drill and miscellaneous hand tools missing from a storage area which was secured.

The missing items were valued at $750.

Investigation is continuing.

n Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting Drivers License Roadside Safety Checkpoints in Bradley County beginning this weekend.

The checkpoints will be set up in random locations in the county.

According to THP officials, checkpoints are an effective means of recognizing the dangers presented to the driving public, by motorists who would violate the drivers license laws of the state.

All scheduled checkpoints are contingent upon weather conditions and manpower availability.
