A forum with candidates for area judicial positions will be held Thursday night at 7, in the Bradley County Commission meeting room at the Bradley County Courthouse.

The event is sponsored by the Bradley County Bar Association, Cleveland Lions Club and the Rotary Club of Cleveland.

This session also serves to recognize National Law Day, proclaimed by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1958 to honor the role of law in the creation of the United States.

The candidates who have been invited to appear are:

Tenth District Attorney General — Steve Crump and Stephen Hatchett.

Tenth District Criminal Court Judge — Sandra N.C. Donaghy, Van Irion and Amy Armstrong Reedy.

Tenth District Circuit Court Judge — William J. (Bill) Brown and Andrew Mark Freiberg.

General Sessions Court Judge — Barrett Painter, Sheridan C. Randolph and Shari Tayloe.

Bradley County Bar Association President Jack Tapper and local attorney James Logan will serve as moderators.

The forum is open to the public.

It will also be broadcast on Charter TV Channel 5 WTN, and WCLE Radio 104.1.

Full coverage of the event will be in Friday’s edition of the Banner.
