The services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday with a pre-assembly rally of music, prayer and preaching.
The General Assembly is a gathering of the church’s ministers and membership to transact business and to engage in worship and exhortation, according to Alexander Jackson Sr., general overseer.
The theme for this year’s gathering is “Perfect Peace.”
The services will be conducted daily at 9 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
There will be activities for all ages, including worship times for children.
The official Assembly opening will be Wednesday morning with prayer and praise.
The Wednesday afternoon session will include the Call of Nations as well as a time for sharing information on regions and nations. The evening service will consist of the World Language program.
Regional and national reports will continue Thursday morning and afternoon. The Thursday evening service will consist of the public relations and evangelism programs.
On Friday morning the church publication The Arise Shine will be presented, followed by the annual General Overseer’s Address.
The afternoon session will offer information on the church website — www.tcogonline.org and www.laiglesiadedios.net — and the Church Prophecy Marker Association department.
Friday evening will include the World Missions program, the Parade of Nations presentation and a healing service.
The youth will have an After Glow at the conclusion of the Friday evening service.
On Aug. 31, the morning service will be conducted by the Assembly Band Movement department, followed by the Bible Training Institute department in the afternoon service.
The evening service will feature the Victory Leaders Band and Gleaners as they march with banners celebrating the theme “Grow. Fight. Win.”
The Sept. 1 morning service will begin with the Women’s Missionary Band followed by the Children’s Assembly presentation.
Sunday afternoon will be the annual Sunday school program as well as the annual Minsters Consecration Service. The final committee reports will be given and appointments by the General Overseer will conclude the assembly.
The general public is invited to particate in this worldwide gathering of The Church of God.
