The Tennessee Christian Preparatory middle school boys finished a successful basketball season in their recent conference tournament.

The Hawks won the regular season championship with an 8-2 league record and the top seed in the tournament, but fell to fourth-seeded St. Jude 40-36 in their post-season opener.

“We had our worst shooting game of the season,” Coach Frank Lowery said, “we played really hard but we couldn't hit anything, layups or free throws.”

The Hawks bounced back in the consolation game defeating Belvoir Christian 61-32.

“It was just the opposite of St. Jude game, we hit everything. Peyton Dean had game high of 28 points and David Cameron had 19 points and 14 rebounds. Josh Montez, Parker Benton and Grant Hurst all played well in our win. We had a good season and it was nice to end with a victory,” Coach Lowery concluded.
