magna cum laude

MCKENZIE — Jenny Sue Faulkner graduated magna cum laude from the College of Professional Studies with a Bachelor of Science at Bethel University.

Faulkner, Cleveland, received her diploma during Spring 2013 commencement exercises at Bethel University.

Bethel University is affiliated with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and offers bachelor’s, master’s and associate degrees through a variety of learning platforms.

Ponsler graduates

with distinction

Lexington, Va. — Kevin C. Ponsler of Dayton, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a Philosophy Minor. Graduating honors include With Distinction and Army Commission.

Cadet Ponsler's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Timothy S. Ponsler.

He was among the 295 cadets who graduated May 16, 2013.

VMI, which has an enrollment of more than 1,500 cadets, is the nation's oldest state-supported military college.

U.S. News and World Report has ranked VMI among the top five undergraduate public liberal arts colleges for the last 11 years.

Arnold earns spot

on Dean’s List

WARRENSBURG, Mo. — Emily Arnold, Cleveland, earned a place on the spring 2013 semester Dean’s List at University of Central Missouri.

Arnold’s academic work earned her a place on the 4.0 list.

Each semester the Dean’s List is divided into two parts. The first list includes the names of students who achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average, and the second list includes the names of students who attained a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.99.

Founded in 1871, University of Central Missouri is a comprehensive regional university which offers more than 150 undergraduate and graduate programs for more than 10,000 students.
