CHATTANOOGA — North American design firm Stantec has opened a new office in Warehouse Row in Chattanooga and named area resident and civil engineer Jon Sparkman, PE, as principal and office leader.

Stantec provides a full suite of engineering, environmental and planning services for public and private sector clients, including design of critical water infrastructure and transportation projects.

“I am excited to join Stantec and establish this new location for us right in the heart of downtown Chattanooga,” Sparkmann said.

Over the course of a 20-year engineering career in the area, Sparkman has been involved with the design and delivery of a diverse range of civil engineering projects related to water, wastewater, transportation, solid waste, dams and levees.

The new office will augment Stantec’s current presence in the Tennessee and nearby states, including offices in Nashville, Lexington and Louisville, Ky., and Atlanta, Ga.

“We will provide our full range of engineering and environmental services to the local community, businesses and industry, while building on strong current relationships with clients such as the Tennessee Valley Authority,” said Sparkman.

In addition, Chattanooga will be an important hub for the firm’s work in eastern Tennessee and northern Georgia.

The new office’s address is: Warehouse Row North, 1110 Market Street, Suite 214A, Chattanooga, TN 37402-2863. The company can be reached at 800-5350.

Stantec provides professional consulting services in planning, engineering, architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, surveying, environmental sciences, project management, and project economics for infrastructure and facilities projects through approximately 13,000 employees operating out of more than 200 locations in North America and internationally.
